brewing filter cacao with moka pot

MOKA POT. great to serve with steamed milk.

this brew style delivers a richer, 'buttery' cup as the high pressure percolation extracts a lot of the cacao butter in our ground cacao nibs.
we recommend to combine it with steamed (plant-based) milk, to achieve a cappuccino-like experience (or even a light and delicate hot chocolate-like one)

preparation

. add hot water into the bottom of the brewer, stay below the pressure valve
. add cacao to the filter basket
. level the surface, applying some pressure (light tamp, given our coarser grind size compared to coffee)
. add the filter basket into the brewer
. screw top part of the brewer onto the bottom part / don't over-tighten

brewing
. heat the brewer using moderate heat / leave the lid open
. cacao will begin to come out with a light puffing sound
. when hearing a gurgling sound take of the heat
. close the lid / run cold water on the bottom part

serving
. pour out the cacao into a mug
prepare your hot (plant based) milk (in a milk frother, using a manual forther, ...)
. add steamed milk to your cacao for a cappuccino or latté-styled drink
